Love of Home brewing

Is home brewing dead in Australia.?

I feel I've been brewing since I was a kid. My mum used to make ginger beer at home and I would help clean glass bottles and add sugar to the mix. Some nights we would wake up to the sound of exploding bottles in the cupboard, that was when we knew the Ginger beer was ready.
In my 20's , i was brewing cans of Brigalow or Coopers in a plastic bucket, and bottling my own beer, with little knowledge of proper sanitation or temp control and not sure sure if it was even safe to drink let alone offer it to friends or family.
Fast forward many years and with the internet and all the free information around I started doing it all again, and this time better, I know it is safe and actually now produce some of the best beer I've tasted.
I now have a dedicated brew house in the garage, a few grand worth of boilers, fermenters, stock and kegs, and a home bar to serve and enjoy. I wouldn't give it up for anything.
I recently found it harder to purchase ingredients locally and thinking there are many others with the same issue, decided to start an online supply of Grain, Hops and Yeast to service the Blue Mountains area.
My question though is, Is home brewing a dying passion.?
I assume beginners still buy Coopers cans and some go the easy route of fresh wort kits, but all grain home brewers are in my recent experience few and far between. I don't brew to make cheap beer but when I can fill a keg with excellent Ipa for about $3.00 a litre, it's a no brainer.
Is it the time restraint of a fast paced life, cant be the cost of ingredients, or have all the beer drinkers gone to Canadian Club.

Till next time. Brew Love.
