I wont try this again.

I'm not a teacher, I don't have school age kids, but I still call week nights, School nights.

My beer taps are between my garage and my living area at home, this means I have to walk past them every evening after work, this can be a problem.

As is my want for perfection, I often need to test things to make sure everything works. There's three taps, You know the rest.

So, trying to find something to pour on a school night during the week when, as a grown up, I should be making better choices,

I “ brewed” ( if that’s the correct word ) a Citra hop water.

Research suggests hops contain Flavonoids.

Flavonoids have potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-disestablishmentarianism properties.

Flavonoids in hops have been found to help reduce weight gain, lower elevated cholesterol and reduce high blood sugar levels and make beer drinkers hoppy. ahh happy.  

This concoction I made was just highly carbonated water with some acid addition and some Citra hops, the result was not great. I also tried a little dex and a little lime juice and just couldn't get it to shine.

I was hoping for a bright citrus aroma with a refreshed tropical glow.

I got soda water and grass clippings.

I wont bother with a recipe as I consider it a complete disaster, it's not worth the time, effort and hops considering I can get the same flavonoid effect dumping these Citra hops in my next New England Ipa.

There is a NA ( no alc ) beer recipe somewhere that I copied from The David Heath YouTube channel that wasn’t too bad, I’ll do a write up if I can find it. In the mean time, I've bought some really small beer glasses so when I pass the kegerator I can test in samples not Pints. Jen just told me the large glass on the left is not a beer glass but actually a vase.

I've never seen flowers in it ......
